I love opentable to make dinner reservations - love that their is a comment field for special requests etc. Now i love opentable even more because they have gone mobile. Now make dinner rezzies right on your blackberry -- multi-tasking has never been easier!

BYO in style...
Some of my favorite restaurants in NYC are BYO. I also love taking a bottle of wine and some cheese down to the beach. I love to cocktail, obviously.

My friend Helen re-introduced me to Zagats. Yes, Zagats.
I used to be extremely loyal to Zagats - having a Zagat guide was essential and vital to my life around NYC and LA as i seriously eat out like every night. But, then came citysearch, which i found to be more up to date and timely. But now that i know about Zagats online ill never do citysearch again. With things like on-line menus and 365 degree pictures of the restaurant im totally sold and back together with my old but good friend, Zagats!

Too lazy to call 411?...
Im huge on text-messaging and my blackberry, obvi!
I cant tell you how many times im on my way to a restaurant and dont know the address or am in a noisy bar and need an address. Calling '411' is not an option - its also a pain.

In my case I typed in the restaurant i was headed to so i entered "Little Owl, New York" in the subject. And, just like that, i got a text back with the address, cross street and phone number.

Best brunch in Silver Lake (LA)...

One of my favorite restaurants in LA...
Today i was really missing one of my favorites in LA. I frequented it often as i lived down the street. Relatively unkown Pace (the word "peace" in Italian) is a perfect little restaurant nestled in Laurel Canyon and totally unpretentious.
What to get:
Chopped Salad (one of the best in LA )
get the hercules pizza and add jalapenos
all of the pastas are delicious
Wine & Beer only
chocolate souffle for dessert is a MUST
Ask to sit outside (great for smokers and dates) - the heat lamps will keep you warm :)
they also own Cheebo - another fab restaurant - that i used to use for catering dinner parties in LA, amazing! -- Great slabs of pizza http://cheebo.com/

Most fun Mexican restaurant in LA...
One of the things i miss most about LA is meeting up with my friends at Marix in LA on Sundays for 4 o'clock Margaritas (to avoid the Monday blues). I already plan on flying out to LA for cinco de mayo for their great Margaritas and good times....
a favorite by Jennifer Aniston until E! exposed that she regularly goes there.... fortunately at Marix they treat everyone like theyre a celebrity.
Best nights: Taco Tuesday and Sunday's mid-afternoon (before going to the Abbey, obviously!)
be sure to get the chips with queso dip and guacamole on the side...
